Introducing the new additions to the Pegasus team of Brand Ambassadors!

Welcome to Leanne Crawford and the stunning OFS Pitch Black! The team at Pegasus are proud to introduce Leanne and Pitch Black (stable name Perfect Pete) onto the team.

Based in Cumbria, England, and with the help of her trainers Terri Graham and Matthew Burnett, Leanne has produced Pete herself from Preliminary to Medium level. Pete is an eight year old KWPN by Painted Black and has now been with Leanne for two and a half years. Key competitions to date include the Regional Championships, Bronze Championship Finals and the Area Festival Finals.

Pete has proved himself to be a natural dressage diva but Leanne says the process involved in producing such a sensitive horse from scratch, whilst incredibly rewarding, hasn't always been a smooth one: "Pete is an incredibly quick learner but he is very much a horse who thrives on a one to one relationship with his rider. It took him a long time to trust me but, when we had that bond established, it was clear that he was prepared to give me 110% and we haven't looked back! I have every faith that he is my horse of a lifetime and that we will achieve our goal of riding up that centre line in tails!"

Pete enjoys a varied training programme: although he doesn't like to jump, he loves pole work lessons and likes nothing better than hacking on the buckle end and cantering up grass verges. Leanne meanwhile loves nothing better than walking her dog Finn when she is enjoying some time off from her job as Yard Manager at Newton Rigg College Equestrian Centre.

Dressage to music is a new venture for this partnership and they are aiming to gain qualifying scores for Freestyle classes at the Summer Championships next year. Leanne explains the appeal of dressage to music: "I think riding to music adds a whole other dimension to your performance and I can't wait to get creative with both the choreography and music choices. I think the perfect arrangement should really make an audience sit up and listen and Pete has such natural presence in the arena, he will definitely rise to the occasion!"
